Yellow Postcard Day is a simple way to spread a little joy—

one postcard (letter, note, picture), with your favorite food, that I donate to YOUR local food pantry.

By sharing food pantries and food banks in your community, my hope is that more people become aware of the resources available—whether that means donating food, time, or financial support, or feeling comfortable reaching out for help when they need it.

We all need a helping hand sometimes, and there's strength in both giving and receiving.

AND

After writing my picture book, The Yellow Postcard: A Story About Food and Community,

I wanted to find a way for its message to reach beyond the pages.

So… Yellow Postcard Day was born.

1.

Write a postcard, letter, note telling me your favorite food and mail it to:

Sav Allen
P.O. Box 40091
Nashville, TN 37204

2.

Yellow Postcard Day mail is collected on the 1st and 15th of every month, so try to mail your postcard about a week beforehand so it arrives in time.

3.

After each collection day, I'll share everyone's favorite foods, find them at grocery stores or online, and donate them to

YOUR local food pantry or food bank.

By sharing food pantries and food banks in your community, my hope is that more people become aware of the resources available

—whether that means donating food, time, or financial support, or feeling comfortable reaching out for help when they need it.
